MIA'S 'TRACKING MODE' AND THE 'V-SHAPED BREAK'

In Luke Mitchell's initial statement, given to DC Alan Towers, at Dalkeith police, in the early hours of 1 July, 2023, he testified: I was walking quite fast. I was almost up to the top of the path at Easthouses when I met Jodi's gran, her sister Janine and her fiancĂ©, Steven. They asked me if I had seen her and I said no. They were quite panicky and they had torches with them and they were looking round. I asked them if they had anything of Jodi's that she had worn to get the scent for the dog to follow. A friend of ours who trained dogs in the Army, he partly trained Mia.  Mia was our own dog. She hadn't been a working dog. We kept together walking down the path again. I was in front with the dog. I said to Mia, 'Find Jodi. Where's Jodi? She's hiding. Seek it. I kept repeating this to the dog. Mia kept (inaudible) going down the path. In order to track a scent, Mia required a 'target' and indeed an item of clothing would have been ideal. Mia didn&#

KIMBERLEY THOMSON: THE TRUTH v 'INNOCENCE BETRAYED'

The source referenced is Sandra Lean's book, 'Innocence Betrayed' (2018), extracts regarded as 'fair use' under copyright and author's remarks in italics. Sandra Lean claims: The other girl, Kimberley Thomson, lived some 60 miles away. Luke met her the previous year when the family were on holiday and the two thirteen-year-olds had a “holiday romance.” They kept in touch by phone and met up again in the New Year period of 2003. Luke had not seen Kimberley since, although they still chatted on the phone.  With regards to visiting Kimberley, Luke's mother, Corinne, was asked in court: "Did he not go at Valentine's time in 2003"? Corinne affirmed, "Yes". The claim that he was planning to visit her again in July 2003 was based on Corinne’s plan to holiday in the same place - a plan that had since been cancelled. In court, questioned for the prosecution by Alan Turnbull QC (AT), Corinne Mitchell (CM),  the following dialogue transpired: AT

THE SEARCH PARTY TIMELINE & SANDRA LEAN'S FUNDAMENTAL ERROR

The source referenced is Sandra Lean's book, 'Innocence Betrayed' (2018), extracts regarded as 'fair use' under copyright and author's remarks in italics. Sandra Lean writes: Another ten minutes later, at 10.59, Judith called Luke again. He told her he had just arrived at the Newbattle entrance to Roan’s Dyke Path with his dog and was about to make his way up to Easthouses, looking for Jodi on the way. Did Luke actually say that he had just arrived... The only related quote from Judith Jones, Jodi's mother, seems to be: In Judith’s first recorded statement to police, at 2.45am on July 1st, she said Luke told her, in the 10.59pm phone call, he was coming up the path “on his bike.” Continuing: The explanation seems obvious, at first glance. Luke’s timings must be wrong. The 10.59pm call placed Luke at the Newbattle entrance to the path at that point, so it is worth noting at this stage that police timed the walk from Luke’s house to the entrance to the path at

SCOTTISH COURTS & TRIBUNALS CONFIRM FACTS REGARDING TRIAL TRANSCRIPTS

The following attachments are a copy of my 25 June, 2024 correspondence and resulting reply. As became evident during past 6 months, despite assertions otherwise, the Luke Mitchell case trial transcripts have always been available to everyone. A reference to both the 1993 Order and 1995 Act is germane, as the long superceded 1993 Order is cited by Sandra Lean, author of related book, 'Innocents Betrayed' (2018) and foremost campaigner for a miscarriage of justice, in support of incessant and erroneous claims that the case trial transcripts are not available to members of the public. Effectively, Luke Mitchell's trial was held in an open court and reported on daily by the media. These transcripts are a verbatim account of each day's proceedings, incorporating legal arguments which the jury were not always permitted to hear and occasionally required to leave the courtroom. The related background is comprehensively documented here: AVAILABILITY OF TRIAL TRANSCRIPTS - THE

24 September, 2023 'Bob Ruff podcast' During this discussion, Bob Ruff notes that 'court files', are readily available in the U.S., to which Sandra Lean responds: "No, they're not made public over here, at all. Certain documents, like the appeal documents, are made public, but that's it. And trial transcripts are massively expensive, hugely and although I have the defence papers, it's actually an offence for me to share them, to third parties who are not directly working on this case. So, if we were to put them on line, for example, they're gonna come through me. Simple as that and that's why I can take excerpts and I can show excerpts, but the minute I start to put full documents out, that's when I cross the line". Circa 4:45 minutes into the  full interview recording. 15 October, 2023 'Bob Ruff podcast' Sandra Lean begins: The first question is actually not on the list, it only came up in the last couple of days. You will reme

THE MARILYN MANSON 'EVIDENCE'

Image
On 24th December, 2004,  the following article was published by NME : MARILYN MANSON DVD PLAYED IN MURDER TRIAL MARILYN MANSON’s DVD ‘THE GOLDEN AGE OF GROTESQUE’ was played in court yesterday (December 23) in the trial of a teenager accused of murdering schoolgirl JODI JONES. The DVD – which shows two girls tied together near a track and struggling as hoods were placed over their heads – was seized by police from the home of Luke Mitchell, 16, who denies murdering Jodi on June 30 last year. He told detectives he bought the DVD two days after 14-year-old Jodi’s naked and bloodstained body was found in woods near her home in Dalkeith, near Edinburgh. The High Court in Edinburgh was told that during the police interview on July 4 last year Mitchell also chatted about his musical interests, including Marilyn Manson. (...) He told Detective Constable Stephen Quinn: “It is a weird sort of gothic video.” Mitchell described the contents as “trancestyle”, with Manson “saying random words and s
